Advertising images created using skill-guided multi-agent approach
AdMuse: Skill-Guided Creative Advertising Image Generation
Computer Vision and Pattern Recognition
Summary
Creating good advertising images is hard because they need to catch attention and clearly show what a product is about. The authors propose AdMuse, which breaks down advertising ideas into reusable 'skills' that guide image creation across different products. Instead of copying examples, AdMuse uses many skills to suggest ideas, picks the best ones, and refines images using feedback from vision and language models. This makes ad creation a step-by-step process rather than just writing one prompt. Tests showed AdMuse makes attractive ads that match what products stand for.
What this means in practice
- •For advertising creative teams: Generate diverse, high-quality ad images that convey specific product messages using a structured skill-based approach.
- •For digital marketing platforms: Automate creation of tailored advertising visuals by routing creative skills and refining concepts with vision-language feedback.$Commercial implications: Enables marketing platforms to offer AI-powered customized ad image generation that improves campaign effectiveness.

Abstract
An outstanding creative advertising image should both attract attention and communicate a product's positioning. How to choose a persuasive conceptual bridge before rendering begins is challenging for advertising generation. We present AdMuse, a skill-guided multi-agent framework that distills high-quality advertisements into reusable creative skills for cross-domain advertising strategy. Rather than retrieving isolated exemplars, AdMuse abstracts recurring bridge patterns into a skill library that can guide new product briefs. At generation time, AdMuse coordinates skill routing, multi-candidate ideation and selection, and VLM-guided visual refinement: diverse skills propose alternative concepts, relative judgment selects the most promising direction, and vision-language feedback helps realize the selected intent in the final image. This design treats advertising creativity as a structured decision process rather than a single prompt-writing step. Experiments across diverse product and brand positionings show that AdMuse produces visually compelling advertisements that faithfully communicate product positioning.
